pchar software package provides Characterize the bandwidth, latency and loss on network links, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pchar
pchar is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pchar package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pchar *
You will get with pchar package name, version, architecture and description in a table
